Are there any clubs in the Greenville area that are 18 and up? Specifically, any that are doing something fun for the weekend before Halloween? I am 24 but my sister is 20, we've only lived here six months or so...want to go out Saturday October 27th in our Halloween costumes but have no idea where she could get in...

St. Patrick's Day in Greenville?
My husband and I are moving to Greenville next week...I would love to know what goes on in the area for St. Patrick's day...as I'm very Irish and very worried that I won't know what fun things there are to do in Greenville on March 17th :o) I welcome any and all suggestions and yes we do drink! We will actually be living in the SImpsonville/Fountain Inn area, so anything closer to there would be awesome as well!

This weekend. Greenville.
Okay soo I'll be in Greenville this weekend staying & I'll be staying in the downtown area.
I'm not really familiar with downtown Greenville & was wondering if there were any neat little gift shops, coffee houses, etc. Maybe even websites to these places? (if possible)
I'd really appreciate it!
Thanks :) Current Mood: okay

New Here (Online & Offline)
Just thought I'd introduce myself. I just moved to Greenville a few weeks ago. My husband accepted a job here and we've wanted to try living somewhere besides Columbia. I've been busy trying to find a job (ask me how unhelpful the temp agencies have been), I'm just interested in getting to know other locals and find out what's hot, what's not etc...
My name is Crystal. I'm 29. We have 3 dogs (boston terrier, chihuahua, mutt) and a cat. I'm a complete geek that is obsessed with Joss Whedon (Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, Firefly/Serenity). Other interests are graphic design & home improvement. Hubby & I have taken this move as the opportunity to have a lifestyle change and have started working out together (walking/jogging every morning) so that is taking a lot of my focus right now. We're pretty easy going people. Hang out at home a lot but like to take our dogs out and about. Love to discover pretty outdoorsy places (like State parks). We only drink socially (ocassionally) and we're nonsmokers. And in the not-so-distant future we hope to be starting our own business.
So, look forward to meeting you all and learning more about Greenville.

I would like to write a letter to my representative. It'd be a lot easier if I could do it via e-mail instead of post mail, but I'll do it by post mail if I have to.
I live in Greenville. Anyone know where I can find a website with contact information for my representative?

I just found a cool site for meeting people of similar interests in your area. It doesn't matter what your interests are, you can either sign up with an already created group, or create your own group (although that costs money). If there isn't a group in your area for your interest, you can set yourself down to 'watch' for that group in case someone else creates it for you.
It's called Meetup.com
and you can find my profile here
, if you're interested.

In Greenville, where is a good place to hang out and meet people after 9 pm weekdays, afternoon Saturdays, or Sundays? I'm looking to try to meet someone and that's really my only free time at the moment. And I'd prefer it not be around alcohol or smoking or profanity or sports or well... I'm not a very social person. Blah. Meh. So like, bars are pretty much out, maybe clubs too, I don't know, I've never been to one.
Well anyway, anyone know good places to meet people around here? Or just to hang out and do something. I've been told I need to 'get out' more, but I don't know where to go. o.o
If there was like, a video game center, or a LAN center, possibly even a simple arcade, maybe a cybercafe, that'd probably be my kind of place to meet people and make friends. Anyone know of any of those in or around Greenville?

I'm relatively new here and I live in Hodges, which is...near Greenwood and Due West and um. Abbeville? Yes. It is near many interesting places.
Anyway, I need friends. Cool friends, preferably ones that won't try to kill me or anything. Man, that'd be awful.
I'm 18, I'm a guy, getting into college sooner or later, and uh...I have...fluffy hair? Yes. I have fluffy hair. It is amusing.
I love old rock music and I'm just getting into indie bands. I don't drink or smoke, and I'm not addicted to anything besides maybe orange juice.
I have a gerbil that looks like a badger. This somehow makes me awesome.
